He accomplishes this through the use of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scanning to create digital models of patients’ mouths. He then creates a customized surgical guide which fits perfectly into the implant site. Not only is this method of dental implant placement significantly more precise than older methods, but it also allows for a more conservative surgical approach. This often results in faster healing and a significant reduction in postoperative discomfort and swelling.
